Bennett Blair's Quilt

One of my best friends in the PhD program became an uncle for the first time this fall.
His niece's name is Bennett Blair and she is a cutie!

This is another of my half-square triangle quilts made from a single charm pack.
I love the backing on this one.

I used my new sewing machine to make the label.  Very nice!

This is my second-favorite baby quilt - after William's.  It turned out great - hope she likes it!

Mr. William's Quilt

Our friends, Sarah and Adam, recently welcomed their first born, William into the world.

The quilt is made using a charm pack to make half-square triangles - my favorite pattern!

Of all the baby quilts I have made, this one is my favorite.  It turned out great.

The Harrison Family Has Grown by Two Feet - Update

The baby quilt for Cath and Michael's bundle of joy turned out great.
It was long-arm quilted by Sew Delightful in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

I especially liked the fishy backing and binding.

Quilt Camp

This past summer I taught a young lady how to make her first quilt.
Chelsea was a great student and did a wonderful job!

Her sister, Emily, also came over with Chelsea but did not quilt this time.
They were a joy to have over to the house.

The quilt is a simple four-patch and turned out great.
The brown border was Chelsea's idea and is perfect for this quilt.

Rebecca's Quilt

I made this quilt for a fellow PhD student's new bundle of joy, Rebecca.  She is such a cutie!

The quilt is made using a charm pack and half-square triangles.
This is my new favorite pattern for baby quilts.

Sleepy Sylvia

My kitty, Sylvia, loves to sleep on my quilt and heating pad.  It is her favorite spot in the house.

Quilt for Kids - Round II

I recently completed two quilt kits from the Quilt for Kids charity.  They turned out great.

The first featured fairies and the second featured different career paths.

The kits contain fabric for the blocks, borders and backing.

In addition to the two kits, I also made a half-square triangle quilt from two charm packs that my mom and I found online.  The charm packs were a bit too bright for our quilts, but worked perfectly for this project.

I taught my mom to top quilt using these quilts.  She just got a new walking foot and it turned out great.

Braxton's Quilt

I finally finished a quilt for my cute nephew, Braxton.  It is a quilt for his crib-converted toddler bed.
It is 37 1/2" x 64 1/2" so it will fit the bed and can be tucked in on three sides.

The pattern is from Bundles of Fun by Karen Snyder and is called Twelve Drummers Drumming.

The fabric used is from the line called Pop Parade by Metro for P&B Textiles.

I have been working on the quilt for nearly 10 months and am glad to have it finished!

The quilt is currently being long-armed at Sew Delightful in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
